Full Diagnostic Assessment Package (Face-to-face)
This dyslexia assessment package for 8 yrs to 16 yrs includes:
- Detailed consultation with parent/carer before the assessment.
- Completion of detailed questionnaires by both home and school.
- Comprehensive assessment lasting 3 1/2 to 4 hours, with room included.
- Detailed report highlighting a student's strengths and areas for development.
- Individual recommendations to support the student, school/college and home moving forward. This may include referrals to other professionals for further investigation.
- Personalised support throughout the assessment process, either by phone or email.
- Follow-up Zoom meeting/phone call of up to 40 minutes to discuss the report and answer any questions.
- The price of this full assessment package is £495. If dyslexia is not diagnosed and/or a report is not required or is declined, this price is reduced to £295.
On the day of the assessment, a range of tasks are completed designed to build a picture of:
- Underlying ability
- Cognitive Skills (including processing speed, working memory)
- Phonological Skills
- Academic Skills (including reading, writing and spelling)
The assessment will determine whether the individual meets the criteria for a formal diagnosis based on the current definition.
Assessments can take place in the individual's school, subject to the school’s permission and access to an appropriate room. For some, this offers an excellent alternative to attending a centre, as they feel more comfortable in their daily surroundings.
Alternatively, this can take a venue in Ramsgate, with ample parking and an area for the parent/ guardian to wait if preferred.
