Jennifer Jennings, founder of Thanet Dyslexia Services, is a fully qualified teacher with over 28 years of experience. She has worked as a specialist teacher across primary and secondary settings and has lectured on the Level 7 Specialist Teacher Assessor Certificate at Christchurch University, Canterbury. She previously worked as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator. Through this work, her passion for ensuring a level playing field for all grew.
Jennifer is qualified to carry out diagnostic
assessments for dyslexia for students in both primary and secondary school. The comprehensive assessment process builds a picture of the individual, identifies strengths and areas of need, and makes recommendations that draw on these strengths to support independent, successful learning.
She is also qualified to carry out exam access arrangement assessments. This must be done in partnership with the school and ensures individual students have access to the right support and the opportunity to show what they know.
Jennifer holds a current AMBDA and Level 7 BDA SpLD Assessment Practising Certificate (APC), as well as the following qualifications:
